Curriculum
The curriculum for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School is provided by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, in full compliance with the requirements of the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department and the Texas Education Agency. Our academic program is designed to provide an educational environment that challenges the average and the accelerated student. The curriculum is based on Christian values and authentic Catholic doctrine.
Religious Education Religious education is the center of education in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School. The religious dimension of the school extends throughout all subject areas and all school activities. Daily prayer, in addition to weekly mass and special liturgical celebrations, provide a framework in which gospel values can flourish. Formal religious instruction in the Catholic tradition begins in pre-kindergarten and continues throughout all grade levels.
Middle School A core curriculum is taught in a departmentalized setting. Major subjects for each Middle School grade level are:

| Middle School Ancillary Classes A variety of ancillary classes is offered.
Primary/ Intermediate Grades (Pre-K - 5) The major thrust of the early childhood and kindergarten programs is the enhancement of language and communication skills. A core curriculum is taught at primary and intermediate levels in self-contained classroom settings. Major subjects include: Religion, reading, English, spelling, mathematics, social studies and science. Special-area classes include: Spanish, computer, physical education, art, and music including a brass and woodwind band.
