1. Forming spiritual, social and cultural bonds within the members of the organization;
2. Executing service projects through
• Providing assistance and manpower, and sponsoring and promoting School and Parish functions and activities;
• Improving the Parish and School physical facilities and grounds; and
• Providing assistance to the Parish and School as requested by the Pastor, Principal, School Board and PTO to meet the needs of the Parish and School, and promoting and/or aiding the activities of other organizations of the school.
3. Conducting fundraising activities to accomplish the SVDP Dads' Club's goals.
4. Promoting activities that enhance the St. Vincent DePaul community.

President (elected):  The president presides over all meetings, will be an ex-officio member of all committees, and will appoint chairpersons of all committees.  He (or his appointed representative) will be the official spokesman for the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School Dads' Club.
President-Elect (elected):  The president-elect will assume the responsibilities of the President in cases of temporary or permanent absence.  He will preside over all membership issues including elections, eligibility, and discipline.  The President-Elect will assume the office of President in the year following his service as President-Elect.
Vice-President - Service Projects (elected): The Vice-President - Service Projects is responsible for organizing various committees and event coordinators primarily involved in service projects for the school, parish or local community.  He will be an ex-officio member of all committees and will perform all other duties incumbent upon his office.
Vice-President - Social/Fund Raising Projects (elected): The Vice-President - Social/Fund Raising Projects is responsible for organizing various committees and event coordinators primarily involved in social/fund raising projects for the school, parish or local community.  He will be an ex-officio member of all committees and will perform all other duties incumbent upon his office.
Secretary (elected):  The Secretary is the primary record custodian of the organization.  He will record the minutes of all meetings, report on all correspondence, hold in trust and keep in good order the files of the organization, and other duties as outlined in Robert's Rules of Order.  He will prepare an annual membership roster and will maintain a meeting attendance ledger.
Treasurer (elected):  The Treasurer will receive all monies of the organization and keep accurate records of all income and expenses.  He will maintain the SVDP Dads Club accounting, books and records, according to the policy of the Archdiocese of Galveston/Houston and will prepare a financial report for each general meeting.  He will disburse funds upon the directives of the Executive Committee.  He will also serve as Parliamentarian for all general an executive meetings to assure that all are conducted according to these bylaws, or secondarily, Robert's Rules of Order.  This is a two year position.
Pastor of the Parish (ex-officio):  He is the spiritual advisor and liaison to the Church.  
Principal and/or Assistant Principal (ex-officio): They are the liaison between the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic School Dads' Club and the school, and they are the advisor to the Dads' Club.
