Directors: (Committee Chairs) chair an event or service during the school year.
Room Parent Coordinator: The room parent coordinator selects and trains grade level coordinators (who oversee the class room mothers for their grade), communicates all pertinent events and information to teachers and parents; or, contacts parents for the teachers when in need of assistance for field trips, school events or classroom projects.
Hospitality Coordinator: The hospitality coordinator facilitates teacher appreciation luncheons, back to school welcoming coffee, hospitality for new student testing, and any other receptions that might arise throughout the school year.
Communications: The Tiger's Mouth is published monthly with information about all school events past and present.
Public Relations: The public relations chair shares St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School news with neighborhood newspapers, Catholic Herald and other news organizations in the area. It is the goal of the PTO and school to keep the neighborhood informed with information about school and PTO events past and future.
Auction: The auction is the foremost fundraiser for the school and it is scheduled in early November. Each year a unique, themed gala features a live and silent auction along with dinner and dancing for a night of fun.
Book Fair: The book fair is designed to supplement the library and classroom books that will encourage reading among students and families. It is held each year for approximately one week in late January/February. A variety of activities feature reading with a highlight being a visit from a guest author on family night.
Breakfast with Santa: Enjoy a delightful breakfast and visit with Santa. Photo opportunities and a variety of Christmas crafts are available for children. This event kicks off the holiday season the first weekend in December and has a Christmas market.
Orientation: Held on the first day of school, orientation is a morning of information for new and returning families. Children receive class room assignments and pick up the yearbooks. Parents pay for required and optional items and services such as school meals, extended day program and extra curricular activities. Parents also have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer for the various PTO events.
Style Show: This event is scheduled in late spring. It is a delightful lunch for the St. Vincent de Paul community and features fashions modeled by the students and staff. Each year selected volunteers are honored at this event.
Party Paks: This is an optional service for parents to honor their children on or around their birthday. For a small fee you can purchase a bundle of goodies that is delivered to the student's classroom.
Yearbook: The Tiger's Roar is published in August as a keepsake you will treasure with of the wonderful memories of the previous school year. Every child who has attended school at St. Vincent will want one.
Golf Tournament: This event is scheduled in the spring. Grab your golfing buddy and put together a team to play at one of the elite golf clubs in the Houston area.
