Admission Requirements

First Things First!
Children must be 4 years of age on or before September 1st to enroll in Pre-Kindergarten, 5 years of age to enroll in Kindergarten, and 6 years of age to enroll in First grade.

To apply for admission, please begin by completing the
online application.

As part of the application process, the following items are also required: (PLEASE NOTE- you may attach the information below to your application or email it to [email protected] with your child's name and grade he/she is applying to.)

1. Application fee of $100/family To waive the fee for additional siblings applying, please call Renee McCurry
at 713-663-3541 or send an email to [email protected].

2. Current immunization record with doctor's signature

3. Copy of the student's birth certificate

4. Copy of the student's baptismal certificate and First Holy Communion certificate

5. Full transcript- report cards and standardized testing for grades 1- 8

6. Confidential teacher recommendation form
- - This can be found in the online application but if you need additional forms, please use the documents in the left-hand toolbar. Please print if needed, give to your current teacher, and teachers can directly email to [email protected]
- Grade-level specific requirements:
  - All PK students must be 4 years old and all Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1st of the year they enter SVdP school.
  - PK and K applicants must take the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence IV Test and submit by Friday, January 12, 2024.

  - Please check in your child at the Parish Family Center.
    PK Observation- 9:00am- 10:00am Kindergarten Obersvation- 10:30am-11:30am Sign up link is under the "Important Dates" tab for Admissions. If additional information is needed from an applicant, we will contact you directly.
  - 1st - 4th grade applicants must take the Woodcock-Johnson Test of Achievement (WJIV) test and submit by Friday, January 12, 2024.

    5th - 8th grade applicants must take and send the results of the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and submit to SVdP Catholic School by Friday, January 12, 2024. Our school code is 447574. You may register online at www.iseetest.org.
    
    School Visit for 1st - 8th grade applicants will have a student visit after being accepted to SVdP Catholic School.
All applications must be complete and application fee paid by January 12, 2024.
Please note-
Applications submitted after January 12, 2024 will be considered for admission depending on space availabilty and after all required information is received for the student.
